Michael Mondavi founded Folio Fine Wine Partners in 2005 with his wife Isabel, son Rob and daughter Dina. Folio's mission is to bring one-of-a-kind wines to American consumers, and the company manages an exceptional collection that spans seven countries, four continents and every price point.

Wine has been the Mondavi family's business ever since Michael's grandfather, Cesare Mondavi, traveled to California in search of wine grapes to ship back east for other Italian immigrants. In 1919, he relocated his family - including Michael's father, Robert Mondavi - to California and launched the family's first winemaking endeavor.

In 1966, Michael and his father founded Robert Mondavi Winery with the vision of making world class wines from California. For the first eight harvests, Michael made all their wines and, as they grew, he took over the helm of sales and marketing. In the last ten years he served as President, CEO and Chairman. In 2004, Michael left to establish Folio Fine Wine Partners, where he could use his experience and pull together the best team in this industry to represent other family wineries who share their mission.
